Congratulations to our new Graduate Student Fellowship recipient

Tarun Bhatia is the most recent recipient of a Graduate Fellowship from the Center, and is working in the laboratory of Prof. Rehana Leak at Duquesne University. Tarun is using cutting-edge techniques to introduce toxic proteins linked to Parkinson’s Disease into primary rodent neurons to monitor effects on cellular proteostasis, and he is administering molecular chaperones into rodent models for Parkinson’s Disease to determine their protective effects in the olfactory bulb.
